Business Website Design
How it Works and What it Costs
A quick overview of the process of building a new website.
It starts with a conversation…
We’ll ask you about what you need to achieve with the new site, probably get you to send us some links of website styles you like (or we’ll send you some suggestions) and also find out what content you’ll need on there.
From that we’ll be able to do you a detailed quote with an idea of the layout.
If you’re happy with the quote, we’ll invoice for a 30% deposit. Once thats paid we’ll set up the Domain, add any email addresses you’ve asked for and start on the website itself.
Around this time we’ll ask you to provide Logo’s, Images and any text you have available.
The Early Days
While the website is initially being built it will be hidden behind a holding page, as it starts to take shape we’ll give you a link to access it.
Getting it Right
Once there’s a bit of substance to the site, we’ll send you a link and look for your input on what you’d like to see there – this could be extra pages, different colours or a new logo…
At some point we’ll be there and the site will be published… at that point we’ll invoice you the balance and send you the handoff document with all the access passwords.
Websites tend to be priced on time rather than page quantity, so a one page site will usually come in at £400 / £500 and multi page sites start at around £900 and will often come in at around £1000 to £1200.
There are, of course, lots of optional extras available including secure staff areas etc, but for the great majority of people, they are not needed.
E-commerce sites are quoted for individually.
